Start with a place to color

Place a coloring sheet at each seat and set out a few small cups of crayons or colored pencils. Add a protective covering underneath, and your activity table is ready.

Children can decorate the cake, design the wrapping on their present, add sprinkles to the cupcakes, or challenge a friend to tic-tac-toe.

There’s no need to finish everything at once. Leave the pages out so guests can come back to them between games, snacks, and birthday cake.

Make a birthday crown

Let the birthday child choose their favorite colors for their “It’s My Birthday” crown.

Color the page before cutting it out. Then have an adult cut along the outside cutting line and attach the extension strips with tape. Check the fit, trim any extra length, and tape the ends together.

Cardstock makes a sturdier crown, but regular printer paper works, too.

Send a little color home

Our matching favor tags feature little cakes, balloons, presents, and other party illustrations.

Color a tag and write the birthday child’s name after “from.” Attach it to a favor bag with tape, or punch the marked hole and thread it onto a ribbon.

For a simple coloring favor, pair a tag with a few crayons and a rolled-up copy of the placemat.

Give everyone a bigger space to create

For a shared coloring activity, spread our Birthday Coloring Banner across a separate table. Its large cake and party illustrations give guests room to choose a spot and color together.

Keep the individual printables at each seat, or bring out the banner after the crowns are finished. Set drinks and snacks to one side to leave more room for coloring.
